A form sits by the fire, silhouette, dark wavy hair, and slight of build. She leans forward to the flames. Dropping an herb into the flames, the spicy odor wafts through the air, she inhales deeply, eyes closed, as the scent takes her back to her homeland. She reaches over to sip of her mead again, inhaling one last time the smell of herbs lingering in the air.

A moment later, a tall man enters. He's been here before, they know him. He orders an ale and takes a seat near Trinity, "That was...some adventure wasn't it?" He chuckles.

She opens her eyes lazily to look at the newcomer, thinks a moment before answering. "That it was, never saw thing like those little demons before. The bounty was good. Too bad our mission was not truely accomplished. I would like to know if that schooner we found in peices was the missing one, or maybe the little buggers went to steal it and let go of the ropes, and even now it bobs its way towards some unknown destiny."

A light shrug, another sip of her drink, and her eyes trace back to the dancing flames.

"There's a touch of the poet in you, Trinity," Rodrik smiles affectionately, "Truthfully, I"m more worried that there were so many of those creatures that close to our town, and might be more. We'll have to go back sometime I think." The tall priest takes a breath, then recaptures his smile, "and yes, the rewards were substantial. I do believe I'm in the good graces of my superiors in the temple for the first time in weeks. I tithed some of mine...could be related." He winks.

Trinity continues to watch the play of flames as the cleric speaks, she tosses another bit of incense into the fire, watching the thin smoke snake upwards as it releases the aroma, she nods almost imperceptively as he finishes speaking.

"I would think perhaps another foray into the cove is in order, just to be certain there are not more of the creatures further back." She pauses considering his words of his superiors. "Had you fallen out of their graces somehow, that tithing your goddess would make them look better upon you?"

Agnes makes an appearance at the inn. The Dwarf weaponsmith sidles to the bar counter and orders a mug of dark ale and the coins are left when the drink is given her. After taking a long drink, Agnes lets her gaze fall on Trinity and Rodrik at the table near the fireplace. More coins are deposited on the bar as she orders refills for her two friends.

"Ho there!' she greets the two while waiting the server to deliver the ordered drinks to the table. "Quite a bit o' excitement th'other day eh? So, what's gonna happen with that boat we found? Gonna get 'er fixed up?"

Trinity grins and motions Agnes to join them even as the drinks arrive. She moves her now empty cup to enjoy the cold new mug, a fleeting smile as she drinks.

"I think we should fix her up. I'd love for us to take her onto the open water, test her out once she's waxed and deemed seaworthy." Rodrick was suggesting too that we return to the cove and see if any more of the little buggers we found still lurk there."

She tosses her thick black tresses over her shoulder, distracted from the fire now.

A lean figure enters through the door of the tavern wearing a tattered dark brown robe with the hood up even though the climate is warm. Shutting the door behind him KaVall lowers the hood and notices his friends sitting near the fire. He also notices the contemptuous looks from a couple of the taverns patrons as he walks through. Some folks in Sunset Cove remain leary of the young mans arcane arts.

Sally seeing the young wizard goes to fetch a goblet of wine as is custom.

Standing in front of the group at the table KaVall points out the newest hole in his robe. "How can I manage my components with more holes than pockets?" He grumbles how he will have to spend coin at the tailor to patch his clothing as he sits down.

"I cannot see the teacher looking like this and its imparitive that I do. Insight tells me that new words of magic are ready to be scribed into my book of spells and I am very eager to know what this wand might do."

"My maps are behind and I hear word that Master Saunders wishes me to scribe dictations of his family heirs and history.... never enough time I tell you!"

Sally approaches the table with his wine. He flashes her a friendly grin. He pays and tips her rather well. Taking a long drink from the warm wine he sighs.

"Hello."

Agnes takes the offered seat. "Aye. We gave those beasties a bloody nose, but I gots a feelin' they'll be comin' back inta town soon if we don't go back 'n finish the job. I've used some of me coin taken to git some better armor 'n other things." She comments to Trinity's suggestion about returning to the kobold lair. "Fixin' the boat'll be a good thing. We could sail 'er back to the cove...mebbe cut down some travel time that way."

KaVall's arrival is met with a friendly nod of the dwarf's head while she takes another swallow from the mug of ale held in one calloused hand. "Too bad ya can't wear better armor." she says to KaVall's commiseration about the status of his robe. "But aye, if'n we're all a bit better at what we do, then the job o' flushin' out the rest of that nest'll be easier. In th' meantime, ya might wanna spend some o' that gold ta buy a few spare robes."

The raven haired woman smirks slightly as the area near the fire fills up. She lifts her goblet in greeting as KaVall approaches and joins them, and nods in agreement with Agnes' words.

"Aye....I'm sure the tailors would be -very- happy to make you something suitable with the new coin we've received." Her dark eyes scan around the other 3, and she nods to herself as she takes another drink of the cold ale Agnes has provided.

"Agreed about going back sometime," Rodrik smiles. At the other, he admits, "Well, the truth is, I keep neglecting daily temple chores. Terribly dull anyway, and easy to forget about. I love my goddess, I even like my fellow clerics, but the day to day routines of cloistering and such some of them do is... well, it seems like such a waste of time to me. Especially when we discover we have kobolds on our back door."

"Good day, Agnes," Rodrik is glad to see the dwarf, "Indeed, I was just commenting on the excitement. I Think I like this adventuring stuff. The boat is being looked at, and I've even been learning a bit watching them work on it. It's a trickier craft than I realized. The sailing part will be the fun part." He agrees with Trinity.

"And I thought -I- had too many chores," Rodrik chuckles, "You have my sympathies, friend." Then he adds, "I see what you mean about time for greater prowess. I feel the goddess' presence. I think she's pleased with me. Only she knows why." He smiles.

Trinity smirks a bit when Rodrik mentions his aversion to work again while talking to KaVall, she tilts back closer to the fire as she artfully flips her dagger as they converse.

"Well, since we all seem to agree, I say very soon we -do- check that cove again, just to give it the all clear. A shame the craft was not found...but we did well. I can't wait to put our new rigg to the waters!"

She smiles at that, tossing her hair back over her shoulders she she pockets the dagger and tosses another small amount of powder into the fire, a faint show of colors and a rich herbal smell drift out for but a moment.

"One thought...what do we name our boat?" He asks, "Ships need names, it's bad luck not to have one."

"I'll leave the namin' to ya tall folk, les' ya wants a Dwarven name most o' ya can't pronounce properly." Agnes states with a hardy chuckle followed by a long draught from her mug. "I'll have the anchor ready, 'soon as I get the iron 'n other items ta the forge." She then adds.

"That debris we found might well be the boat. I'd not put it past those critters ta scuttle 'er after stealin' the fish. Dunno why they kept our'n relatively intact though."

Listens as her friends chat about their new prize.

"Oh but it has a name already Rodrik, very faint on the side it said 'The Sea Spray' We could change it perhaps, but that might be worse luck then having no name or the name fade off." She tilts her head as she speaks, dark locks falling over her shoulder which she absently brushes behind her.
